Brian Hackett is an outspoken animal advocate. He is Director of Government & Community Relations at Associated Humane Societies where he spearheads animal welfare issues on the state and local level in New Jersey. He is former legislative Affairs Manager for the Animal Legal Defense Fund and NJ State Director for the Humane Society of the United States.

In this episode we discuss the EATS Act, banning gestation crates and puppy mills, the plight of exotic animals, why dog/cat shelters are overflowing and much more.
